THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH
St Augustine of Canterbury is a parish of the Episcopal Church, which is a mainline protestant denomination with roots in the American Revolution. We read Scriptures from the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and New Testament each week, and we celebrate Holy Communion with bread and wine. Our practice is that anyone present is welcome to come forward and receive Holy Communion.

The Episcopal Church is a place where everyone is welcome and diversity is celebrated. We have members across the political spectrum, and we are open and affirming of LGBTQIA+ members. Any person who feels drawn to gather and learn from the Gospel of Jesus and the fellowship of community is welcome here.
We have strong commitments to tradition. Our services are drawn from a Book of Common Prayer, and the “Common” in that means that Episcopalians can find a church throughout the United States – and much of the world – that will be reading from the same scriptures as their own on any given Sunday, and celebrating the liturgies of the Word (Bible lessons) and Table (Holy Communion) in a familiar way.
We offer classes for newcomers to teach more about the Episcopal Church and its traditions.
